A Letter to You:

I chose Ellasaea so that I could soar. It’s a name that combines many facets of who I am. Though my memory is faded, my mom used to say, “Michella, sea lo quieras,” to say she would support me in whatever I wanted to do, even if it is art. I also wanted a name that sounds beautiful in any language. Of the many languages that I have studied, Korean has persisted in my heart for over 20 years. One of the first words I learned was 새 (Sae) - or Bird. I always remembered because the ㅅ character reminded me of the little birds I used to draw as a child. As Ellasaea, I hope to create meaningful content so that we grow, and soar together.
